It does not totally explain why the songs here are 'special to me' but a clue might be in the fact that most are written by other folk, and Isla generally sings her own songs (and here she only gets in five of her own.
Still treading the 'light country' route, Isla picks (or writes) the story songs and that seems to be her trade-mark.
And she's very successful too, so don't knock it until you've heard it.
