A gentle yet powerful album from violinist/vocalist Ruth Angell and composer/producer/guitarist Sid Peacock, inspired by beautiful places, great poets, down and out’s, new arrivals and feathered friends. Traditional and original material is performed with honesty, passion, great story telling and a high level of craftsmanship.
‘Love Forgiven’ has been a long time in its development of material, some of the pieces are 15 years old others just 1 year old. This is what gives the album a sense of togetherness and an acceptance that only comes with time and experience. Recorded at Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig, Ireland this album captures some of the magic of that special place.
